WitchHazel is a non-binary riothouse.
Long-praised in bars and basement venues across the East Coast, WitchHazel is all harsh-energy— Forged from NYC-born poet, performance artist, and multi-instrumentalist Eliot Parker Graves and packing an impactful ‘ouch’ with every note. Howling over power chords with blues-informed vocals, their hard rock, roots-folk, and African diasporic influences sit front and center.
Hailing from a background steeped in music and chaos, and an adolescence honing presence and penmanship, WitchHazel has been making grown men cry since 2015; though the project’s pursuit was provoked during the isolated months of 2020 when they became vehemently focused on music production.
Collaboratively, WitchHazel has worked to elevate other notable musicians, poets, and influencers through styling, songwriting, editing, and social media consultation. They’ve loaned their composing & recording prowess to Warner Music Group, been featured in Buzzfeed and Buzzfeed Cocoa, and performed at The MoMa, The MoCa, The Apollo Theater, and The Kennedy Memorial Center, among others. Their work was described as “[…]Tender like a bruise.” by queer writer and artist, Pau Burgosa. They foster a following of over 300,000 across social media platforms.
WitchHazel’s debut single, “Sucker and Sanctuary”, is set for release in May 2025, and will be available on all streaming platforms.
